The social and economic context of the 21st century has changed significantly and the information age requires youth to master a set of skills specific to the new 21st century environment in order to succeed on personal, professional and social levels.<\/p>\n

Katimavik participants learn and develop the skills needed to be effective workers and collaborators. A major focus is put on learning, literacy and life skills; more concretely: critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, leadership and self determination. The development of theses skills is supported by practices, training, education and development initiated by each participant in a dynamic and ever changing environment.<\/p>\n
