Katimavik - Lake Louise

Which Youth Programs Should
You Choose?

Katimavik offers two youth programs: one focused on personal development, cultural exchange and community work, and the other on gaining professional experience to help young adults who are further from employment integrate into the job market.

These programs foster growth, learning, and civic engagement, while contributing to a more inclusive and equitable society.

National Experience

Katimavik's National Experience program offers a unique 22 weeks journey in two locations. Dare to live with up to eleven young people from across Canada, and spend several days each week volunteering with community organizations.

Explore Your Potential, Discover Yourself
and Grow

In this immersive adventure, each day brings new discoveries and challenges. Dive into the heart of a community where your talents and personality will be highlighted. Within this new Katimavik ‘family,’ learn to assert yourself, collaborate, and thrive. This program is here to celebrate diversity, not only cultural but also the diversity of opinions, encouraging enriching exchanges between young people from all backgrounds.

Through this youth program, each week, you will have the opportunity to explore the world of civic engagement, environmental preservation, as well as Indigenous traditions and the issues of truth and reconciliation.

National Experience is funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Service Corps program.
